Candler Hall

School of Public and International Affairs

giclee print - signed & numbered

Candler Hall was built in 1902 with an appropriation from the General assembly of $45,000 and was named for the sitting governor at the time, Allen D. Candler, a well-respected political leader and gentleman. Located on North Campus with Lumpkin Street to its west and historic Herty Field to its east, the building was originally designed as a dormitory, but underwent a variety of reconfigurations over time to meet the demands of a growing campus. Just over a century later, this stately structure was completely renovated. Ideally equipped for modern use by today's faculty and students, it is now the home of the School of Public and International Affairs.
