Artist's Biography
Jill Edwards Leite’s (pronounced: "leet") original watercolor paintings and fine art prints brilliantly convey the timeless spirit of a place. A master of landscape painting and architectural rendering, Jill has been widely recognized for her artwork for many years. She received her formal training and BFA degree from the University of Georgia School of Art. Collectors of Jill’s work enjoy a visual display of their family homes, colleges, Greek houses, vacation spots, or other personal memories.
Artist's Statement
From childhood on, I have always felt that working with art put me in my element. In my career as an artist, I have used mediums in many different ways, some for commercial use and some for the pure joy of drawing and painting. When commissioned for a project, I strive to work to the very best of my ability. While I enjoy the creative process and the challenge of integrating my own vision with that of my customers, my greatest excitement comes just before I finish the project, when everything comes together. Once this is accomplished, I reflect on my work and the worthwhile effort it required. In these moments, I am fully aware of how much I enjoy my profession. It is with this sense of satisfaction that I send each piece to its new owner.
